The only constant in the Great Spam War is change.

Perhaps now we (tinw) will see street corner dealers selling/hawking/pushing monthly Bullet Proof Hosting to those hooked on spamming, a known and destructive addictive behaviour.

-- Sun Tsu - The Art of War

While most of these documents are structured around the mediums used for Spam. In any medium, under any definition, Spam really only has a few limited forms.

Content

Every Spam identified to date has some message it wants to get across.
Whether that content was text in the body of an email/post/txt/page or an image, it was there somewhere.

Link

Often to hide the content from network administrators, the content itself would not be contained in the Spam. A link to it would be provided instead. This link is then spammed many times and places.
